Project 1 - Don't Go Near the Water

Conclusions

John Snow had determined that the cholera outbreak was linked to the local water pumps. When looking at the map visualization, it can be seen that reported cholera deaths tended to be around the town's water pump. This may be a coincidence, but after looking at the other plots, it can be seen that children and the elderly had suffered the most deaths. This makes sense considering the elderly and children are most vulnerable to disease. In addition, children from 0 to 1 had the least number of deaths, because babies don't drink water. The data and visualizations support John Snow's hypothesis long ago.
